We often spend a lot of time concerning ourselves with avoiding harsh light and shadows in portraits, unless there is a creative pull to enhance the mood.  This month, as the days are longer, let’s stretch our imagination to consider how shadows can impact our images.  It can be goofy and playful as we play with kids and driveway chalk, it can be creepy and ominous on the site of an old abandoned building.  Whatever way you slice it, shadows do add drama.
