Landscape Photography – Gerald Blanchard
Gerald has been photographing mostly landscapes for the past several years. His background includes an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (Studio) with specialties in photography and sculpture. He has been photographing for 40 years and has extensive experience in film, developing and processing film and prints in black and white, colour, and non-silver processes. He worked in the display department of the Museum of Civilization (when it was called that.)
Gerald’s landscapre presentation is geared toward both beginners and more advanced landscape enthusiasts. He will be speaking about finding the shot, composing the shot, capturing the shot, post-processing the shot, and also equipment considerations. Even though the subject matter is geared towards landscape photography, there will definitely be many aspects that are indirectly, if not directly, applicable to other genres of photography.
