SUMMARY:What Do You See Photo Challenge 2026
DESCRIPTION:A photo challenge for Niagara Photographers who are interested in the opportunity to see through the lens of fellow photographers as a source of inspiration. ● This year we have 6 locations spread across Niagara ! \n  \nDownload the location map here.  \n  \n\nVisit each of the 6 locations below and take photos.\nYou can do them all in one day or different days\, time etc. Please stay as close to the designated spot or area as possible when taking your shots or it will defeat the purpose. Don’t be afraid to get creative with your photos. Remember this is the “what do you see” photo challenge\, so make us “see what you see”.\nWhen you have shot all the locations\, pick your one best photo from each location and process the 6 images to your liking\, anything goes.\nResize your 6 images to maximum 1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels high in JPG format.\nRename each jpg image file starting with the number of the location and then your name. As an example an image from location 3 will be called “3 Joe Smith” .\nEmail them to me dropdcreighton@gmail.com to complete your submission. (please note your images should go directly to Darren\, there will not be link to our Dropbox for this event)\nThe deadline for submissions is October 14th 2026.\n\n  \nHere’s the best part;\nYour images will be assembled into a slideshow with the other participants and shown in the order of locations. That way all of us can draw on the inspiration in seeing what other photographers see with different interpretations of the same locations. It is a great way to expand what you see and photograph\, as well as a great excuse to go out and shoot!\nThe slideshow will premiere at a Welland Photography Club meeting on October 28rd 2026. DESCRIPTION:Sunflower Walk\n\nFor any members interested in going as a group we will meet at 7pm at the entrance.\n  \n\n Good afternoon! Friday is the day! \n\n\nWe’re excited to open up our sunflower walk and welcome everyone out to the farm!\n\n\nWhen you arrive\, please enter the driveway at 1094 Concession 10\, Hagersville and park on the gravel.\n\n\nDogs are welcome!  Just a heads-up\, we do have a dog at the shop who likes to bark\, but other than that\, he’s harmless. If you bring your dog along\, please keep them under control and clean up after them.\n\n\nAs you enter the sunflower walk\, you’ll see a donation box on the archway. Donations are greatly appreciated\, with proceeds supporting our local hospice. \n\n\nWe just ask that everyone be respectful of our farm and the sunflower field. There will be a designated area clearly marked where you’re welcome to cut a sunflower to take home. Please leave the rest of the flowers for everyone to enjoy.\n\n\nCome out\, take a walk through the sunflowers\, snap some pictures\, enjoy the farm\, and help us support a great cause.\n\n\n We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the farm this Friday! \n\nCheck out the FB link here.

SUMMARY:50's Diner Photoshoot
DESCRIPTION:We have arranged a photoshoot at Passmore’s Diner in Dunnville.  The diner is decorated in a vintage 50’s style diner.  The owner has granted us the opportunity to shoot in the diner.  We have also have contracted a model\, Clarissa Smith\, and she will be dressed in vintage style clothing\, and we may even convince the owner to dress up and pose! \nGiven the size of the diner\, we are limiting the numbers to 10.  If we have more\, we can see if we can get a second date for another shoot.  We will have lights and soft boxes set up.  You will need to bring your Godox trigger.  The cost for this shoot is $25.00 and you can register and pay using the following link. \nLooking forward to a great shoot!  Note if we have 10 registered please email Tony Maddalena at amaddalena@rogers.com and he will create a wait list to set up a possible second shoot. \n

DESCRIPTION:Welland Zombie Walk\nSaturday\, October 3rd\, 2026\n6:30- 9:00 pm \n\n\nThe annual WZW is happening on Saturday\, October 3rd at 6:30 pm. This family-friendly event is open to all ages\, and we will be encouraging donations of non-perishable food items for The Hope Centre and pet food items for Pets Alive Niagara . Remember\, everyone\, this isn’t just a fun and freaky event\, but all for a good cause: helping out our neighbours in need!\nEveryone participating is asked to dress in their best zombie costume and meet in Downtown Welland. This is a family-friendly event and people of all ages are encouraged to participate or just come out to watch!\nMeet at the Welland Central Fire Hall at 6:30pm.\nThe WZW starts at 7\, making our way through downtown\, and returning to the starting point. We will then be selecting some of the best zombie costumes\, and awarding prizes for the best ones\, with help from the audience. Prizes generously donated by many local businesses and individuals\, in a number of categories.\nOur route this year will take us from the Welland Central Fire Hall north on Hellems Avenue to East Main Street\, turning west onto and following East Main Street\, across Bridge 13\, looping back around on to Division Street bridge\, following Division Street and retuning to the Welland Central Fire Hall.\nWe ask all zombies attending to please follow these guidelines for your safety and everyone’s enjoyment:\n*Remain on sidewalks during the walk.*Please obey all traffic signals and cross at crosswalks. *No fake weapons.*No touching spectators or property or vehicles.\nAnd\, most of all\, have fun!\nLet’s make this WZW a fun one for everyone like we all do together every year! We’re so excited to celebrate the holidays with our annual club Holiday potluck.\nWe’ll be decking the halls with holiday cheer and would love for you to join us. The event is open to club members and their significant others. \nFor each person attending please select a ticket below to indicate what type of dish you are bringing to share. If you are bringing a guest please select 2 items. Water and soft drinks will be provided. Don’t forget: You will need to bring your own plate and cutlery as well as anything needed to serve your dish. Let’s make this a delicious and memorable meal together! \nDinner will be followed up with some fun activities for all. During the night you can collect door prize tickets and remember\, all submissions to the monthly challenge are worth a ticket each\, you still have time before the end of the month to increase your chances. \nIf you can\, please remain after the event to make sure the room is all cleaned up and everything put away after the dinner. \nDoors open at 6:30\nDinner begins at 7:00\nCan’t wait to see you all there!
