SUMMARY:November Photo Challenge
DESCRIPTION:  \nI think it’s safe to say everyone can appreciate the draw of a great Black & White image.  Whether dramatic or subtle\, there is something about the details that are captured in a somehow more intense way\, than in the vibrancy of a full colour spectrum.  It’s vintage\, it’s modern\, it’s suitable to architecture or portraits and the most incredible landscapes. \nFor myself? The distinction between B&W and colour photos is like comparing reading the written word from a page in a book or that from a screen. When one studies it\, the details pool into your brain in layers (light\, shapes\, line\, texture…) and a story unfolds.  As our light fades this month\, it’s the perfect time to ease back to shooting like it’s a “SLOW FOOD” event.  Take time to think it through\, digest a scene and then savour what we create. \nWe’ve already seen a handful of amazing B&W images surface from our members.  Here is a little secondary challenge. Consider taking a look at images you have shot with the sole purpose of displaying in colour\, and see what changes in the image when the saturation is removed. \nMembers can upload images to the dropbox through the website for tickets to the Holiday Potluck prize draw.  You are also welcome to share on our Club Facebook page. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
