We are very excited to announce that The Carolinian Café & Eatery and the Haldimand Photography Club have partnered together to offer an exhibition of our members’ photography.  I would like to thank Paul Fleck, our Membership Coordinator, for approaching the Carolinian Café and Eatery, along with Randy Carter in setting up the stage for displaying photos at the Carolinian to engage customers and visitors alike with photos created by the members of the Haldimand Photography club.

The Carolinian sees approximately 200 customers per day, between take-out orders and dine-in customers.  Our gallery runs from August 13^th through to September 30^th.  Customers dining in, and take-out orders will have access to view 40 photographs that will be on display on both the North and South walls.  The theme for the photographs will be photos of the local community, wildlife, nature and portraiture.

We are asking members to submit a total of three (3) photographs for the exhibition.  The maximum framed photograph submission is 16 x 20.  We are also asking photographers to create a story card for photographs that they submit.  The Story line will include the following:

• Photographers Name
• Camera type and lens used
• Photography title
• If the photographer wishes to sell their work you must include the price.
  • Please note that the Carolinian will receive a 20% commission on the cash sale of each item. The Carolinian will manage the sale of the photos.

The Carolinian along with HPC will host an Open House reception on August 16^th, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  Whitney, the owner of the Carolinian, will provide light refreshments, i.e. coffee, tea and sweets. Randy Carter has volunteered to collect the photographs that will be displayed at the Exhibition.  You can drop off your photographs on the following dates and time:

• Saturday August 9^th from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Caledonia Fairgrounds
• Monday August 11^th from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Caledonia Fairgrounds.
  • Note: if you cannot make one of those dates and times you can drop off the photographs at the Carolinian Café & Eatery on August 13^th. Let Randy know that you will be dropping off at the Eatery and he will advise you on a time to drop it off.
• These are the only times that we will accept photographs to be displayed. The Carolinian is open for business and we will not be able to add photographs outside of those times mentioned above, as the Carolinian is open for business and customers will be in the restaurant.
